Trainings/Services
We are here to work with you. If you have an idea for launching a new product, digital or traditional, our students and faculty are here to assist you. The first step of our service is to learn more about your idea and goals; our team of experts will then work with you to focus on accessibility, inclusiveness, and users.
Trainings
People with disability are more dependent on their technologies today with the vast adoption of
mobile and wearable devices. The use of the Internet and apps have revolutionized personal
communication for generations. Despite the fact that the U.S. has the world’s most comprehensive
policy that prohibits discrimination based on disability and considers equal access to information
as one of the basic human rights. Technologies are often born inaccessible, cutting out some or all
users with disabilities because developers exploit gaps in their skill set to not meet the needs of
people with disabilities.
A11y+ offers students with opportunities to learn the fact people may create technical barriers to
people with disabilities. Instructional material and experiential learning activities were developed
with our partners to empower students with the skills they need to build technical solutions for
people with visual impairment, hear impairment, fine motor skill impairment, and other disabilities
through enhanced curriculum and engaged learning experience.
